Gone Fishin'

The leaves had begun to change, as you can see. It was a glorious week in mid-September, though a little gray much of the time. Nothing to do but read, hike, canoe. A few meals, and a mid-week jaunt up to Bayfield and Madeline Island. Bald eagles were virtually ever-present, and quite a few smaller creatures were also passing though on their way south. You can read a fuller account of outdoor events, and inner struggles with O.E. Wilson, Francis Bacon, and Plato in PDF format, or simply enjoy a few views of the Apostle Islands and Bayfield.
